GENERAL INFO

Planning

  • Before you arrive, call our 24-hour hotline at ​(585) 234-0252 for picking conditions, picking updates, hours & pricing.

  • Dress appropriately and bring sunscreen. Bring your own containers/bags or borrow our picking buckets.

  • No smoking or consuming alcohol.

  • Do not litter or leave trash in the orchards.

  • Leave pets at home. Due to food safety rules, pets are not permitted in the picking fields/orchards.

Picking 

  • ​Please respect our farm; we keep it neat - please do the same. 

  • Check with field supervisors for the location of varieties that are ready for picking.

  • Please keep a watchful eye on children and no climbing trees.

  • Be courteous to employees and those picking around you.

  • Watch for honeybees and bumblebees, as they are needed for pollination.

  • Be sure to bring appropriate medicines (EpiPen, antihistamine), if you have allergies.

Payment

  • Call our 24-hour hotline at (585)​ 234-0252 for pricing or check our U-Pick page.

  • You are expected to pay for all the fruits you pick - we will not take back any “extras”.

  • Payment methods: cash

    • ATM is located outside in front of Blue Barn Cidery.​

Pet Policy

  • Pets may not enter the orchards.

  • Food safety standards prohibit pets from entering any area where food is grown, harvested, or stored.

  • Please leave your pets at home

  • If you must bring your pet along with you, they will need to stay in your vehicle. Please ensure that weather conditions are safe for your pet to be left inside your vehicle. Due to GAP Food Safety standards, we can not permit your pet to be on the farm because it is too warm for them in your vehicle.

Photography Policy

In lieu of a site fee, we accept a $25 donation to the ALS Association. Donations can be made in the form of a check payable to the ALS Association or cash brought with you to place in our ALS donation bucket. Alternatively, you can also donate online and bring a receipt along with you (click here for the link).

All photography at the farm must take place during our business hours. To notify us to expect you, please visit the contact us page and drop us a note.

Only 20 minutes from downtown Rochester. Pick-your-own is open from July through October. The Farm offers a family-friendly corn maze and U-Pick pumpkin patch in the Fall.
